WELCOME

Welcome to the South Texas Society for Healthcare Risk Management (STSHRM). We were formed in 1994 and have been an affiliate of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management since that time. We are one of three Healthcare Risk Management Societies in Texas.

We are an organization of healthcare risk managers, insurance professionals, defense attorneys, and medical-legal consultants whose goal is to minimize the potential liability of healthcare providers by promoting proactive healthcare risk management, patient safety, and quality.

While most of our membership centers around Austin and San Antonio, we cover a wide geographic area, with members from the Hill Country, Waco, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Corpus Christi, and West Texas. No matter where you are from in Texas, we welcome you.

We meet on a quarterly basis—in March, June, September, and December on the second Friday of the month, from 11:00 to 1:30. The meeting sites alternate between Austin and San Antonio, and our December meeting is generally in Fredericksburg.
